How to claim a business listing

If your business is already listed on Lydenburg Africa, you can request ownership of the listing instead of creating a duplicate. An approved claim lets you manage and update the business information from your account.

Before you start

  • Find the existing business listing in our directory.
  • Use an email address and telephone number that can be connected to the business.
  • Be ready to provide reasonable proof that you are the owner or an authorised representative.

How the claim process works

  1. Find the listing. Search the Lydenburg Africa directory and open the correct business profile.
  2. Select “Claim Listing”. Use the claim option shown on the listing page.
  3. Sign in or create an account. The account will be used to manage the listing if your request is approved.
  4. Submit your claim. Confirm your relationship to the business and provide the requested contact information or supporting details.
  5. Wait for verification. We review claims to help prevent unauthorised changes. We may contact you or request additional evidence.
  6. Manage the listing. Once approved, the listing is assigned to your account and you can update the information allowed by your listing package.

What may be accepted as proof?

Depending on the business, verification may include a business-domain email address, company registration details, proof of trading address, a recent business document, or confirmation through an established business telephone number or online profile. Please do not send sensitive identity documents unless we specifically request them through an appropriate channel.

If the claim option is unavailable

The listing may already be claimed, may still be under review, or may not yet support online claims. Please contact Lydenburg Africa with the business name and listing link so that we can assist.

Submitting a claim does not guarantee approval. Lydenburg Africa may decline, pause or reverse a claim where ownership or authority cannot be reasonably verified.
